About SciTrack

Manage Your Research from Idea to Publication in One Platform

SciTrack is a modern research-management platform built for busy clinicians, academics, and research teams. We provide structured workflows that take you from initial ideas through protocols, projects, tasks, notes, manuscripts, and submission tracking—all in one place, with built-in collaboration and mobile-friendly access.

Built for Researchers Structured Workflows Collaborative Security-First Mobile-Friendly

Mission & Vision

Our Mission

To give researchers a single, structured platform that reduces chaos, eliminates scattered files, and provides clear accountability from the first idea to final publication. We believe research deserves the same organizational precision found in modern project-management tools—without the overhead or complexity that gets in the way of science.

Our Vision

We envision research teams working seamlessly across institutions and time zones, with full visibility into project status, clear ownership of tasks, and a publishable audit trail that journals and ethics boards can trust. SciTrack aims to become the operating system for modern research—enabling faster, more transparent, and more reproducible science.

The Problem We Solve

Research teams face persistent challenges that slow progress and introduce risk. We built SciTrack to address these pain points head-on:

Scattered Files & Lost Versions
Protocols, data, and manuscripts spread across email, drives, and laptops. Version chaos is the norm.
Protocol Writing Friction
Starting from scratch every time. No templates, no consistency, no institutional memory.
Missed Deadlines & Unclear Ownership
No single source of truth for who's responsible, what's due, or what's progressing.
Messy Collaboration
Email threads, manual approvals, and unclear feedback loops slow down multidisciplinary teams.
Submission Tracking Chaos
Journal submissions get lost in inboxes. Revision statuses are manually tracked in spreadsheets.
Limited Visibility Across Projects
Departments have no centralized view of active research, timelines, or publication pipelines.

The SciTrack Approach

We use a simple, repeatable 4-step workflow that mirrors how research actually happens:

1

Capture Ideas

Start with a research idea inbox. Log every concept, hypothesis, or "what if?" in one place. No friction, no formatting—just capture it.

2

Turn Ideas into Protocols

Use our Protocol Generator to select a study-design template, fill in the required fields, and export a Word document ready for ethics-board submission.

3

Execute Projects with Tasks & Notes

Promote the protocol to a full project. Break work into tasks, assign deadlines, attach files, and track progress with stages and timelines. Collaborate with your team via messaging.

4

Prepare Manuscripts & Track Submissions

Store manuscript drafts, log journal submissions, track review status, and link published works with DOIs—all within the same project context.

Fast & Intuitive

Clean interface, fast loading, and minimal learning curve. Focus on research, not the tool.

Our Values

These principles guide how we build SciTrack and serve the research community:

Clarity

Research is complicated enough. We believe tools should reduce confusion, not add to it. Every feature is designed to make workflows clearer and more transparent.

Accountability

Tasks belong to people, deadlines are visible, and progress is tracked. We help teams know who's doing what, when, and why.

Research Integrity

We support reproducible, auditable workflows. SciTrack doesn't replace ethics boards or peer review—it helps you meet their standards.

Speed Without Chaos

Structure accelerates progress. When everyone knows the workflow, research moves faster and with fewer errors.

Collaboration

Great research happens in teams. We build features that encourage sharing, feedback, and collective ownership without sacrificing individual contribution tracking.

Respect for Privacy

Your research is private by default. You decide what to share, when, and with whom. We don't monetize your data or sell it to third parties.

Security & Privacy

We take a security-first approach to protecting your research and personal data:

Encryption in Transit

All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS to prevent interception.

Password Hashing

Your password is hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plain text.

Access Controls

Role-based permissions ensure users only see what they're authorized to access.

Secure Backups

Regular automated backups protect against data loss and enable disaster recovery.

User-Controlled Sharing

You decide who can view or collaborate on your projects and content.

Private by Default

Research content is never public unless you explicitly choose to share it.

What's Next

We're actively developing new features based on user feedback. Here's what's planned:

Smart Reminders & Notifications
Automated alerts for deadlines, task assignments, and project milestones.
Analytics Dashboards
Visual reports on productivity, publication rates, and team performance.
Institution Workspaces
Departmental accounts with centralized oversight and resource allocation.
Export Packages for Journals
One-click export of manuscripts with supplementary files in journal-ready formats.
